iPhone 16 and 17

Apple's iPhone 16 series, introduced in September 2024, includes the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. Both models are powered by the A18 Bionic chipset, featuring a 6-core CPU and a 5-core GPU, delivering enhanced performance and efficiency. The iPhone 16 sports a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, while the iPhone 16 Plus offers a larger 6.7-inch screen. Both displays can reach up to 2,000 nits brightness under direct sunlight. A notable addition is the Action button, providing quick access to various functions. The camera system has been upgraded with a 48MP main "Fusion" camera capable of 2x optical-level zoom and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor supporting autofocus and macro photography. Pricing in India starts at ₹79,900 for the iPhone 16 and ₹89,900 for the iPhone 16 Plus. 

Looking ahead, the iPhone 17 series is anticipated to launch in 2025, introducing several significant upgrades over the iPhone 16 lineup. Rumors suggest the introduction of an "iPhone 17 Air," which will be Apple's thinnest iPhone yet, approximately 2 millimeters thinner than current models. This model is expected to feature a 6.6-inch ProMotion OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, enhancing the visual experience. The iPhone 17 Air may also serve as a testing ground for future technologies, including foldable devices. Additionally, it is anticipated to include Apple's first in-house cell modem, codenamed Sinope, and new Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chips. 

The iPhone 17 Pro models are expected to receive significant camera enhancements, including an upgraded 48MP telephoto lens optimized for high-quality zoom and compatibility with Apple's Vision Pro headset. All iPhone 17 models are rumored to feature a 24MP front camera, offering sharper and more detailed selfies compared to the 12MP camera on iPhone 16 models. The iPhone 17 lineup is also expected to feature the A19 chip, built on an advanced 3nm process, promising efficiency and performance gains over the A18 in the iPhone 16 series.
